why it’s ok to schedule your bridal photos after you tie the knot

I've previously talked about honeymoon portrait sessions. But I also wanted to touch on couples booking a session to take or re-take their bridal photos after they have already tied the knot! Sometimes couples don’t have a lot of time on their actual wedding day to take the fun and relaxed couple portraits they imagined. Sometimes, they just didn't like how their bridal photos came out. I want to give you permission to RETAKE them if you want to! This time with your ideal photographer in your ideal location and time that fits you guys. Get your hair and makeup done, put your dress and suit on, and just run around and have some fun!

E + A had eloped and wanted to book a session the day after to commemorate this special milestone. Even though it wasn't the exact moment that they tied the knot, they put on the same outfits, used the same lei's from the day before and we made it happen. It really doesn't make the photos any less special. In documenting their love in their bridal outfits, it still commemorates their special milestone while making some ART out of their love and matrimony.

I have had clients retake their wedding photos 4 years AFTER they got married. Another couple booked with me 6 months after they got married. So their weddings were very much done a long time BEFORE they got back into their dresses and suits to retake them with me. And guess what?! They absolutely loved it because it actually filled a void that they were feeling after they got married of not having the photos they dreamed of. In the end, they knew what would make them happy and that's all we want as human beings ❤️
